Exemplar com manchas de humidade, restauro desnecessário marginal sem afectar a mancha tipografica no fólio 13 e o último fólio espelhado.

Rasíssimo folheto sobre cometas, de que apenas existe um exemplar aparado “afectando o texto” na BNP.

Inocêncio VI, 213. “Não sei, nem também me consta que exista impresso de Mendo Pacheco mais que o seguinte opusculo: Discurso em os dous phaenominos aereos do anno de 1618. Lisboa, por Pedro Craesbeeck 1619. 4.º de 20 folhas sem numeração. A edição existente de 1619 é hoje rarissima. D'ella não vi até agora mais que um só exemplar que ha annos comprei, enquadernado com outros opusculos de egual raridade em um livro de miscellaneas do seculo XVII, que o acaso me deparou.”

 Very rare leaflet about the observations of comets, entitled: 'Report on two atmospherical phenomena of the year 1618' writen by Mendo Pacheco de Britto, and printed in Lisbon by Peter Craesbeeck, in 1619.

In 4. º (from 19x12, 5 cm) with [xx] unnumbered folium.

Binding: recent synthetic hardcover. Copy with slight damp stains,and unnecessary marginal repair (on folio 13 and on the last patched folio) without affecting the printed matter.

It is just known one copy from BNP (National Library of Portugal) noticed as trimmed and 'affecting the text'.

Inocêncio (VI, 213) reffers 'I do not know any other book by Mendo Pacheco than this booklet. The existing edition of 1619 is now very rare. I saw no more than a single copy, which I bought, bound with other pamphlets of the same rarity in a miscelania of the 17th Century, which I had the chance to came across.
