Fólio oblongo de 41x116 cm. Impressão utilizando duas chapas sobre dois fólios separados, juntos posteriormente por uma carcela.

Gravura de grande dimensão e qualidade gráfica colorida manualmente.

Magnifica vista panorâmica da cidade de Lisboa (anterior ao terramoto de 1755) no final do século xvii ou início do século xviii, tomada a partir da margem Sul do rio Tejo, representando a cidade com grande pormenor: desde a montante o Mosteiro de S. Vicente de Fora; até a jusante o Forte de S. Julião da Barra. Sendo possível distinguir em pormenor todos os conjuntos edificados da cidade (e não apenas os principais edifícios como é costume noutras gravuras) assim como os seus habitantes nas suas tarefas diárias, tal como é usual nos mapas holandeses a partir Ortelius.

Ao centro em rodapé apresenta uma cartela com a palavra 'Lissabon' ladeada por dois homens (figuras de acompanhamento trajando ao estilo do século xvii, segurando um deles o Escudo Real português (anterior a D. João V) e o outro a Esfera Armilar. Abaixo encontra-se uma pequena carta marítima da Barra do Rio Tejo. No extremo direito encontra-se uma fogueira da Inquisição; e uma forca (tripé ao estilo inglês do Tyborn Tree) para execução de criminosos, ambas em funcionamento.

Apresenta uma extensa legenda dos locais notáveis da cidade (constituída por 71 referências) e em duas línguas: Alemão e Francês.

Trabalho de autoria e publicação totalmente desconhecidas, sem nome de impressor ou gravador, não se encontra presente qualquer referência na bibliografia consultada. Possivelmente de Van Keulen (1654-1715).

Oblong folium 41x116 cm. Made of 2 assembled plates on two separate folios colored manually. Magnificent panoramic view of Lisbon in the 17th Century, taken from the south bank of the Tagus River, representing the city in great detail: spanning upstream from the Monastery of S. Vicente de Fora; and downstream to the Fort St. Julian da Barra. Being possible to distinguish in detail all urban malls built in the city (not just the main buildings as is usual in other prints) as well as its inhabitants in their daily tasks, as is customary in Dutch maps since Ortelius. In the center footer features a cartouche with the word 'Lissabon' flanked by two men (the figures of valets wearing at the 17th century style, one of them holding the Portuguese Royal Shield (prior to King John V) and the other the Armillary Sphere. Below is a small miniature map of the mouth of the river or “Barra do Rio Tejo”. At the extreme right is a fire of the Inquisition, and a gallows (tripod-style English Tyborn Tree) for execution of criminals, both in operation. Provided with an extensive legend of notorious places inside the city (numbering 71 references) written in two languages: German and French. Work of authorship and publication totally unknown, unnamed printer or record, not present in any bibliographical reference, nor literature. Possibly a Van Keulen (1654-1715).
