Contém, na respectiva ordem: Measure for Measure; The Comedy of Errors; Much Ado About Nothing; Love’s Labour’s Lost; Midsummer-Night’s Dream; Merchant of Venice; As You Like It; Taming of the Shrew; All’s Well that Ends Well; Twelfth-Night: or, What You Will; The Winter’s Tale; King John; The Life and Death of King Richard II; King Henry IV [2 partes]; King Henry V; King Henry VI [3 partes]; The Life and Death of King Richard III; King Henry VIII; Troilus and Cressida; Titus Andronicus; Coriolanus; Romeo and Juliet; Timon of Athens; Julius Caesar; Macbeth; Hamlet, Prince of Denmark; King Lear; Othello, The Moor of Venice; Antony and Cleopatra; Cymbeline; Pericles, Prince of Tyre; The Tempest; The Two Gentlemen of Verona; Merry Wives of Windsor.

There are oleographic ownership stamps on some of the title pages and occasional pencil annotations throughout the works. This edition follows the text of the second edition by Alexander Dyce, one of the most renowned Victorian editors of Shakespeare's works. Based on the First Folio of 1623 and other contemporary sources, it brings together the 36 plays traditionally attributed to the playwright, including in addition the Pericles, Prince of Tyre, whose inclusion, although absent from the First Folio, became common in 19th century editions, thus totalling 37 pieces. Contains, in the following order: Measure for Measure; The Comedy of Errors; Much Ado About Nothing; Love’s Labour’s Lost; Midsummer-Night’s Dream; Merchant of Venice; As You Like It; Taming of the Shrew; All’s Well that Ends Well; Twelfth-Night: or, What You Will; The Winter’s Tale; King John; The Life and Death of King Richard II; King Henry IV [2 partes]; King Henry V; King Henry VI [3 partes]; The Life and Death of King Richard III; King Henry VIII; Troilus and Cressida; Titus Andronicus; Coriolanus; Romeo and Juliet; Timon of Athens; Julius Caesar; Macbeth; Hamlet, Prince of Denmark; King Lear; Othello, The Moor of Venice; Antony and Cleopatra; Cymbeline; Pericles, Prince of Tyre; The Tempest; The Two Gentlemen of Verona; Merry Wives of Windsor. William Shakespeare (Stratford-upon-Avon, 1564 - Stratford-upon-Avon, 1616) was an English playwright, poet and actor, widely regarded as one of the most important figures in world literature. He wrote 37 plays, 154 sonnets and several poems, as well as co-authoring countless others, such as The Two Noble Kinsme (co-written with John Fletcher), Edward III (attribution discussed) and Cardenio, a play presumably written on the basis of an episode by Cervantes, now considered lost. Noted for the psychological depth of his characters and the richness of his language, his work encompasses comedies, tragedies and historical dramas, with famous titles such as Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and Othello. His plays continue to be staged all over the world and to influence literature, theatre and cinema to this day. Referência: 2504SB003
