Exemplar com assinatura de posse e ex libris brasonado de Carlos Alberto da Costa Campos. Tem junto o certificado nominativo de autenticidade das Colecções Philae.

As gravuras representam os fardamentos e o armamento de soldados portugueses desde o século XII até 1898. Cada gravura impressa num bifólio está acompanhada, na segunda folha, por pormenorizadas descrições dos uniformes e armas representados e com informações de contextualização histórica incluindo a história de alguns regimentos militares.

Inclui alguns dos uniformes portugueses mais emblemáticos desde a Fundação da Nacionalidade, o período da Revolução de 1385, os Descobrimentos, a Guerra da Restauração, o regimento do Conde de Lippe, o período das Invasões Francesas e da Guerra Civil entre Liberais e Absolutistas.

Set of 24 colour engravings presenting the collection O Soldado Portugués Através dos Séculos (The Portuguese Soldier Through the Centuries) consisting of 24 miniature sculptures cast in tin alloy (pewter).

Copy with handwritten ownership title and emblazoned ex libris from Carlos Alberto da Costa Campos. Attached is the named certificate of authenticity of the Philae Collections.

The engravings represent the uniforms and armaments of Portuguese soldiers from the 12th century to 1898. Each engraving printed on a bifolio is accompanied on the second leaf by detailed descriptions of the uniforms and weapons depicted and with contextualized historical information including the history of some military units.

Includes some of the most iconic Portuguese uniforms from the Founding of Nationality, the period of the Revolution of 1385, the Discoveries, the War of Restoration, Count de Lippe's regiment, the period of the French Invasions and the Civil War between Liberals and Absolutists.
