Encadernação recente em percalina, com lombada em pele com titulo e casas em ferro a oiro.

Recolha de 60 gravuras sobre vestuário religioso, com frontispicio gravado, mas com titulo manuscrito.

O frontispicio onde se encontra manuscrito o título, (a data 1649 será engano por 1749) apresenta a marca Cartouche Nouveau, e é uma folha de frontispício pré gravada, para posterior aplicação de titulo, atribuída a Pierre-Edmé Babel, impressa por Jacques Chéreau II le jeune, e que terá sido impressa e comercializada entre 1750 e 1775.

As gravuras, assinadas De Poilly F. (François de Poilly, gravador francês, 1623-1693) pertencem à obra Histoire des Ordres Monastiques, Religieux et Militaires, et des Congragations Séculieres de l’un et de l’autre sexe, qui ont été établies jusqu’a present, publicada anonimamente em oito volumes, em Paris de 1714 a 1719 e que foi reeditada em 1721

A autoria da obra é atribuída a Pierre Héylot (1660-1716). Embora Hélyot tenha falecido após escrever apenas cinco volumes, o resto da história foi completada pelo seu colega, Maximilien Bullot. (???-1748).

The frontispiece where the title is handwritten bears the Cartouche Nouveau brand, and is a pre-engraved frontispiece sheet, for later application of title, attributed to Pierre-Edmé Babel, printed by Jacques Chéreau II le jeune, and reportedly printed and marketed between 1750 and 1775.

The authorship of the work is attributed to Pierre Héylot (1660-1716). Although Hélyot died after writing only five volumes, the rest of the story was completed by his colleague, Maximilien Bullot. (???-1748).
