Bela impressão veneziana impressa com caracteres itálicos, adornada com capitulares xilogravadas, apresentando duas marcas de impressor diferentes na folha de rosto e no verso do último fólio. Terceira edição a primeira publicou-se em 1550.

Importante obra geográfica, repleta de informações sobre a história, os usos e costumes dos povos, as características naturais de cada região da península itálica e suas ilhas. Com interesse especial as breves referências às viagens de Américo Vespúcio e à eventual descoberta da América pelo mesmo.
