The print depicts a procession of carriages, canons being fired, and ships in the harbor. Printed in Augsburg before 1755. Condition: original color; minor spotting and staining.

These prints were a form of entertainment to be seen through a device called optical machine or magic lantern viewer. These views are some of the most distinctive and interesting images of the eighteenth century, and their striking use of lines of perspective and bright original color makes them as visually delightful as they are historically fascinating.
